Dev Blog: Introducing the crew.flyvua.org Beta
For the past several months, the development team has been working behind the scenes to rebuild, refine, and elevate the core of our virtual airline’s interface. Today, we are incredibly excited to open the doors to the next chapter of vUA: The crew.flyvua.org Beta is officially live.
This platform was built with our pilots in mind to streamline how you interact with the airline, track your flights, manage your schedules, and view your crew profiles. But before we roll this out to everyone, we need your help to put it through its paces.
What’s New (and What’s Stayed the Same)
It is important to note that behind the scenes, our system is still entirely powered by vAMSYS. All of your pilot data, flight logs, schedules, and information are still pulled directly from the vAMSYS API.
The biggest change here is entirely on the front end: how we see, experience, and interact with that data. We’ve designed a custom skin and layout to give vUA a unique, clean, and modern home that feels like our own.
What to Expect During the Beta
A beta phase means the platform is feature-complete but still experimental. You will encounter a few rough edges, visual quirks, and the occasional bug. That is exactly why we are opening it up.
We need you to log in, click every button, plan your routes, and try to break things. Your real-world usage data is the final piece of the puzzle we need to get this platform to 100% stability.
How to Jump In
Getting started is simple:
Navigate to the site: Head over to crew.flyvua.org.
Log in: Use your existing vUA credentials.
Fly: Start exploring the layout, check out the new dashboard, and log your flight hours.
How to Report Bugs & Share Ideas
We aren’t just looking for bugs; we want to hear your overall feedback. Is the navigation intuitive? Is there a feature you feel is missing?
To keep our development pipeline organized, we’ve set up a dedicated tracking form. Whether it’s a broken link, a visual layout issue on mobile, or a killer idea for a new feature, please log it through the form. Every submission goes directly into our central tracker so our team can review, prioritize, and deploy fixes efficiently.
Submit Bug Reports & Feedback Here
Thank you to everyone in this community for your continued passion and support. vUA is what it is because of our pilots, and we can’t wait to build the future of this airline together.
See you in the skies,
The vUA Development Team
